Alexandre Arcady

It's clear that French director Alexandre Arcady takes his work seriously, as he also writes and produces nearly everything his name is attached to. Arcady is most recognized as director and writer of the film "Hold-Up." In this classic film, "Breathless" star Jean-Paul Belmondo plays Grimm, who robs a bank dressed as a clown. Arcady is also well known for the romantic drama "Last Summer in Tangiers," which he directed, produced, and wrote. He was also producer/director/writer for "Break of Dawn" and "L'union sacrée," which deal with masculine relationships in heightened emotional conflicts. Arcady teamed up with his son Alexandre Aja for the thriller "High Tension." Aja directed and his father produced the film, which stars Cécile De France as a college student on vacation, with a killer at her heels.
