Bernadene Hayes

Bernadene Hayes was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Hayes kickstarted her acting career in various films such as the crime picture "Parole!" (1936) with Henry Hunter, "The Accusing Finger" (1936) and "Absolute Quiet" (1936). She also appeared in "Great Guy" (1936), "The Emperor's Candlesticks" (1937) and "North of the Rio Grande" (1937). She kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in "You and Me" (1938), the comedy "Lucky Night" (1939) with Myrna Loy and "Panama Lady" (1939). She also appeared in "King of Chinatown" (1939). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Veronica Lake crime flick "This Gun For Hire" (1942), "Mr. Winkle Goes to War" (1944) and "Dick Tracy's Dilemma" (1947). She also appeared in the Gene Kelly dramatic comedy "Living in a Big Way" (1947) and "Women in the Night" (1948). Hayes more recently acted in the drama "Wicked Woman" (1954) with Beverly Michaels. Hayes passed away in August 1987 at the age of 84.
