CeCe Winans

Grammy-winning Cece Winans was a cherished music legend with an exceptional career. Winans worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "ABC in Concert" (ABC, 1990-98), "America's All-Star Tribute to Oprah Winfrey" (ABC, 1990-91) and "MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon" (1990-91). She also contributed to "The 5th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards," "The All-Star Salute to Our Troops" (CBS, 1990-91) and "White Men Can't Jump" (1992) starring Wesley Snipes. She also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "David Foster's Christmas Album" (1993-94), "Together As One" (BET, 1994-95) and "Concert of the Americas" (PBS, 1994-95). She held additional roles in television including a part on "VH1 Gospel From the House of Blues" (VH1, 1998-99). Additionally, she could be seen on a variety of television specials like "Kathie Lee: We Need a Little Christmas" (1997-98), "The Goodwill Games Opening Celebration" (TBS, 1997-98) and "When You Believe: Music From "The Prince of Egypt" (NBC, 1998-99). Winans also contributed music to "Gospel's Greatest Performances: 30 Years of the Dove Awards" (ION, 1998-99). Winans worked on "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" (NBC, 2014-15). Winans won a Best Soul Gospel Performance, Female Grammy Award in 1987. She has since performed in several award shows such as "The 31st Annual Dove Awards" (2000) and "Celebrating America's Musical Heritage: A Salute to Gospel Music" (2002) and "Our OWN Easter" (OWN, 2021).
