Chips Rafferty

Chips Rafferty was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Rafferty began his acting career with roles in such films as the Maureen O'Hara adventure "Kangaroo" (1952), "The Desert Rats" (1953) and "King of the Coral Sea" (1956). His film career continued throughout the sixties and the seventies in productions like the drama "The Sundowners" (1960) with Deborah Kerr, "The Wackiest Ship in the Army" (1961) with Jack Lemmon and "Mutiny on the Bounty" (1962). He also appeared in the musical "Double Trouble" (1967) with Elvis Presley and "Skullduggery" (1970) with Burt Reynolds. Rafferty last acted in the drama "Outback" (1971) with Donald Pleasence. Rafferty passed away in May 1971 at the age of 62.
