Don "Red" Barry

Don "Red" Barry was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, "Red" Barry appeared in such films as "Night Waitress" (1936), the Paul Muni action flick "The Woman I Love" (1937) and the drama "Sinners in Paradise" (1938) with Madge Evans. He also appeared in the drama "The Crowd Roars" (1938) with Robert Taylor, "Calling All Marines" (1939) and "Panama Patrol" (1939). His film career continued throughout the fifties in productions like "Frankenstein - 1970" (1958), the Victor Mature romance "China Doll" (1958) and the Mickey Rooney dramatic comedy "Andy Hardy Comes Home" (1958). He also appeared in the Mamie Van Doren action film "Born Reckless" (1959). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Fred "The Hammer" Williamson action picture "Boss Nigger" (1975), the western "Blazing Stewardesses" (1975) with Yvonne De Carlo and "Hustle" (1975) with Burt Reynolds. He also appeared in "Whiffs" (1975) with Elliott Gould and the action movie "Orca" (1976) with Richard Harris. "Red" Barry was most recently credited in "Iron Angel" (2011). "Red" Barry passed away in July 1980 at the age of 68.
