Jill falls in love with the down-to-earth moms in attendance at a friend's backyard party in Brooklyn, then she realizes the grass may not always be greener on the other side.

Jill's parents come to town to celebrate Yom Kippur and to take care of a matter of life and death; Vanessa flirts with the idea of a breakup; Brooke continues to punish Lex for betraying her.

Brooke convinces Jill to hire a nanny, taking her to a children's museum to observe nannies in their natural habitat and to try to poach one to take home.

Jill dips her toe back into the work world by paying a visit to the fashion magazine where she used to work, but she is not opened back with open arms.
