Overwhelmed with loneliness since Max left for his internship, Casey finds herself latching onto her ZBZ sisters' social activities and ultimately interfering with Rusty's blossoming romance with Jordan; after enduring a tough roommate situation for months, Calvin finally gets some relief when Evan finds him a new roommate - who happens to have an unexpected secret; Evan and Cappie's ongoing rivalry heats up once more over a girl in the secret society led by Dean Bowman.

It’s the day after the End of the World party, which has changed some lives dramatically. Max has gone back to England since Casey broke his heart, so Rusty has no one to talk to about his choice to go to the party over finishing his Chemistry project; Jordan implores Casey to help Rusty who is now failing the Honors Program. Casey, still hurt from her encounter with Cappie at the party, agrees to take charge and help Rusty. When they try to get into the lab, Cappie shows up also intending to help Rusty. The Omega Chi’s throw a Dead Man’s party to celebrate the start of the Gotcha! game. Calvin thinks he slept with Grant; Dale slept with Sheila and is upset about losing his virginity.

After she risks her life by falling into a manhole, Casey is sent into an emotional tailspin, questioning her relationship with Max and her lingering feelings for Cappie; Ashleigh faces her own punishment with Pan Hellenic after a complaint is lodged by Frannie for the Homecoming Float sabotage. Ashleigh turns to Casey to help fight the charge, but when Casey gets caught up in her own personal drama, she leaves Ashleigh to face Frannie alone. With Dale having trouble keeping his cougar girlfriend's sexual advances at bay and Calvin trying his best to resist hooking up with his new hot roommate, Dale convinces Calvin to go in on a "purity pledge" partnership.

Gotcha! is winding down and there are only two people still standing – Rusty and Jordan. Their relationship has reached a point where the next step is to have sex, but winning the game is more important to their houses. Things get out of hand and a full-blown ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ battle ensues. Casey takes over as ZBZ’s Panhellenic delegate and is challenged by the president, Katherine. Grant and Calvin try to figure out how to have a secret relationship in a house of rambunctious frat boys. They decide the only way is outside of Cypress so they go on a romantic dinner. Grant surprises Calvin with a free birthday dessert as a joke, but the joke is on them when one of the singing waiters is Evan.

It's Valentine's Day and Rusty is scrambling to find a date. Casey finds out that Katherine is dateless so offers to set them up in hopes of being friends again. She and Cappie double date with them, and assume it went badly but Katherine actually seems smitten. Casey and Cappie decide to bet who can outdo each other in the gift department. Calvin and Grant realize it's not that romantic a holiday when you're living with your significant other already. Grant tries to put the spark back in their relationship but Calvin's not sure he's ready to go down that path. Evan decides to take the extra step with Rebecca and invites her to the OX party. He also buys her a necklace to show how much he cares but it's all too much for Rebecca.
