Hayes Grier

Teen idol Hayes Grier rose to online fame as one of the most-followed social media stars before crossing over to the mainstream with a stint on long-running talent show "Dancing with the Stars" (ABC, 2005-). Born in Mooresville, NC, Grier's Internet career took off when Vine sensation Tiffiny Semashko revined a video he and brother Nash posted titled "Rooftops." The pair subsequently developed an ardent following on the social network with their humorous videos and in 2013 joined ten fellow online personalities including Cameron Dallas, Shawn Mendes and Aaron Carpenter for a North American tour under the guise of MAGCON (Meet and Greet Convention). An appearance on the 2015 DigiTour United 26 Tour consolidated his high status in the social media community, and by the age of 15, Grier had amassed three million Twitter followers and four million on both Instagram and Vine. Following in the footsteps of YouTube beauty star Bethany Mota, Grier then crossed over to network TV when he was partnered with Emma Slater on the 21st season of "Dancing with the Stars" (ABC, 2005-), becoming the youngest ever male contestant in the process. During his stint on the hit show, Grier performed routines while posing as a football jock, motocross racer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and also danced to a track recorded by his former bandmate Mendes.
