Jason Tam

Jason Tam was an American actor who made a name for himself on Broadway before taking his love of musical theater to film and television. Born in Honolulu, HA, Tam got his start in the industry as an understudy for the part of Gavroche in the highly successful Broadway run of "Les Miserables" throughout the nineties. In 2006, Tam got his big break on the great white way when he was cast as Paul in a successful revival of "A Chorus Line," while simultaneously appearing as a series regular on two long-running TV shows: the surfing drama series "Beyond the Break" (The N, 2006-2009), and the legendary soap opera "One Life to Live" (ABC, 1968-2012). There was a misstep in the form of an appearance in the notorious Eddie Murphy flop "Meet Dave" (2008), but Tam quickly rebounded by winning the role of Xander in a 2011 Broadway revival of "Lysistrata Jones." Tam returned to TV with appearances on "Hawaii Five-O" (CBS, 2010-) and "Do No Harm" (NBC, 2012-13). Tam's big break came when he was able to combine his love of musical theater and television, via an appearance as the apostle Peter in the live televised version of "Jesus Christ Superstar" (NBC, 2018).
