Based in Orlando, Florida, JOHN.k is a singer and songwriter of soulful pop. The great-grandson of jazz trumpeter John Poulson, who ran in circles with Bunny Berigan, he grew up listening to a variety of music, including jazz, pop, and soul. Not deciding to pursue music as a vocation until after college, his debut single, "Runnin'," appeared in March 2017 and garnered over a million streams by the end of summer. Remixes by EDM's Rainer & Grimm and hip-hop artist Rowland Evans soon followed. He was the featured vocalist on Ricky Remedy's single "Gold" that August, and released his own follow-up single, "OT," in September of 2017.
