Jordan Loughran

Stratford native Jordan Loughran was a promising stage actress when she was chosen to appear in the Disney Channel's 2015 series "Evermoor" (later retitled "The Evermoor Chronicles"), the first Disney series to be shot in Great Britain. Her character Sorsha Doyle was a refined and beautiful daughter of the mayor, who joins the magical social circle the Everines but is kicked out for breaking their "no boys" rule. Though her character is teenaged, Loughran was a young-looking 24 when she took the role. As a student at the Grey Coat Hospital languages school in Westminster, she set her sights on an acting career and secured a manager at the age of 13. She wound up acting during school vacations, eventually appearing in a short BBC film. Her first break came in 2010, when she appeared in London's Royal Court Theatre production "Spur of the Moment" whose author, Anya Reiss, was also a teenager. While continuing to pursue acting, Loughran studied French and Spanish at King's College in London. Following "Evermoor," she made her film debut in "The Infiltrator" (2016), an adventure based on a true story of U.S. Customs busting a drug cartel. She next co-starred in the series "Emerald City" (NBC 2017), a re-imagining of the Wizard of Oz tale, in which she played a male role as Tip, a young boy who's been hidden away his whole life.
