Josh Taylor

Josh Taylor was inspired to abandon his career as a lawyer to pursue his interest in acting after getting a job at a high-profile L.A. restaurant and he began his lengthy career with small roles in mystery series like "Barnaby Jones" and "The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries." In 1981, Taylor drew on real-life experience to portray bartender, Chris Kositchek, on the long-running daytime serial, "Days of Our Lives," and eventually became a key character on the series. Taylor's involvement with the award-winning soap opera didn't stop when in 1987, Kositchek, who by then had become a respected lawyer, was written out the series. Taylor re-joined the show a decade later as Police Detective Roman Brady, a former intelligence agent who investigates a series of serial killings in the famous "Salem Stalker" storyline. From 1986 to 1991, Taylor portrayed family patriarch and airline pilot, Michael Hogan, on the family sitcom, "Valerie's Family" (later re-named "The Hogan Family" after star Valerie Harper left over a contract dispute), about a harried mom trying to raise her family without the help of her often absent husband. He later appeared as Dylan McKay's (Luke Perry) criminally-minded father in the second season of the teen drama, "Beverly Hills, 90210," and starred in the TV drama, "A Secret Between Friends: A Moment of Truth Movie."
