12 emerging home cooks will experience the magic of the MasterChef kitchen for the very first time.

The final challenge takes place over two rounds, and the winner claims the title of MasterChef Australia 2022.

The chefs will have 4.5 hours to recreate Zumbo's 'Polly Want a Waffle' dessert.

Teams must prepare a three-course meal. The winning teams have a chance to win immunity.

The participants are instructed to prepare a dish with the same ingredients that were once in the very first mystery box of 'MasterChef'.

The three winning teams from the previous trial cook with ingredients from the food pyramid.
