Mike Post

Mike Post brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. At the beginning of his Hollywood career, Post had music featured mostly in comedies like "Rabbit Test" (1978) with Billy Crystal and Joan Prather and "Rhinestone" (1984). In the eighties, Post's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "Secret Admirer" (1985) and the Griffin O'Neal drama "Hadley's Rebellion" (1986). Post was nominated for an Outstanding Achievement In Music Composition For a Series (Dramatic Underscore) Primetime Emmy Award for "Hill Street Blues" in 1981 as well as for an Outstanding Achievement In Main Title Theme Music Primetime Emmy Award for "Unsub" in 1989. Post won an Outstanding Main Title Theme Music Primetime Emmy Award for "Murder One" in 1996. Post's music was also featured in "Napoleon Dynamite" (2004) with Jon Heder, the Michael Moore smash hit documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" (2004) and the Steve Carell hit dramedy "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" (2005). Post's music was most recently featured in the Ben Affleck smash hit dramatic adaptation "Gone Girl" (2014).
