Ruth Paine

Ruth Hyde Paine was an American teacher who became notable after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, as she housed Lee Harvey Oswald's wife, Marina Oswald, in her home for several months until the day after the assassination. According to official government investigations, including the Warren Commission, Lee Oswald stored the 6.5 mm caliber Carcano rifle used to shoot U.S. President John F. Kennedy in Ruth Paine's garage, unbeknownst to her and her husband, Michael Paine.
