Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini welcome 12 talented chefs to Puglia, Italy; they live and cook together, fusing their own culinary styles with Italian cuisine; one chef's journey ends when their own team votes them out of the villa.

Ten chefs get settled into their Tuscan villa, where two competitors get a huge advantage for the next round.

Hosts Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini inform the four remaining chefs that not one, but two of them will be going home after a wild boar challenge. Only two chefs will make it to the finale and battle it out for the life-changing grand prize.

Two team captains choose one teammate each to visit an Italian butcher shop that goes back generations. Then, judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Gabe Bertaccini challenge the chefs to create a menu using the grill as their only heat source.

Previously eliminated chefs have a cooking duel to join the finalists for a chance to win a culinary education with renowned chefs across Italy.

The chefs learn how to make scratch-made pasta from authentic Italian nonnas, and temper flare during a team challenge.
