When Mandy’s new boyfriend, Terrence, turns out to be an animal rights activist, he clashes with Mike, who collects guns and hunts for sport. Meanwhile, Kyle discovers through an online site that, like Ed, he is Basque, and Ed embraces him as his “brother”.

After getting a major clue from Garrett (recurring guest star YANI GELLMAN), Hanna and Spencer set out on their separate missions. Hanna sees a perfect opportunity to catch "A" or to at least see who is helping Garrett out. But her perfect plan starts to quickly unravel, leaving Hanna frustrated and desperate. Spencer tries to figure out the meaning of the clue and enlists Jason's (recurring guest star DREW VAN ACKER) help in the search. Meanwhile, Emily gets another flashback from "that night" which leads her to a surprising suspect and Aria starts to question Ezra's sudden influx of cash.

After their recent encounter with “A,” Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer think they may be closer than ever to figuring out the identity of “A.” But when the girls decide to enlist Caleb’s (recurring guest star Tyler Blackburn) hacking skills to help with their quest, Hanna no longer wants to be a part of the plan. The last thing Hanna wants is to get Caleb involved in something else shady and she also doesn’t want to open the door to questions that Hanna can’t answer. But once the girls realize that “A” has a helper, Hanna has no other choice. Instead of focusing on figuring out who the “helper” is, though, Hanna decides to put all of her efforts into throwing a surprise party for Caleb. But will a surprise party at Spencer’s lake house be the diversion Hanna is looking for, or just a recipe for disaster? Meanwhile, Aria and Ezra must deal with the aftermath of coming clean.
