After her character's demise, Wilson took time out to give birth to her first child. When she decided to resume her career, she met with CBS about the possibility of playing an assistant D.A. on another series set in Texas. Wilson made an audition tape and then headed to Israel to film the female lead opposite Chuck Norris in the feature "Hellbound" (1993). One morning during the film shoot, Norris came to Wilson's dressing room. The actor explained that he had agreed to star in a CBS series and the network had sent him a tape of a potential leading lady--none other than hers. Wilson nailed the role as the legal eagle who was also the sometime girlfriend of Norris' "Walker, Texas Ranger."
