Later, under pressure, Weevil tells Veronica that he received an anonymous call regarding the bus crash.

Called to jury duty over Christmas break, Veronica must sit on a difficult, polarizing case against a pair of affluent defendants accused of assaulting a young Hispanic woman. Meanwhile, Keith helps Mayor Woody Goodman (recurring guest star STEVE GUTTENBERG) determine who stole the Aaron Echolls/Lilly Kane sex tapes from the police station. Later, a familiar face makes a surprise return to Neptune while another one of Veronica's friends meets a tragic end.

When Thatcher returns to the hospital with a failed liver, Meredith must save his life; Izzie empathizes with a tumor-riddled patient; annoyed with Cristina's competitive zeal, Mark tricks her into assisting on an unusual surgery.
