Zenobia Kloppers

Zenobia Kloppers is a Namibian-South African actress, singer and voice artist working across film, television, theater and radio. As a formally trained actress and classically trained lyric soprano (bel canto), Kloppers brings distinctive vocal precision and emotional depth to her performances, spanning genres from drama and action to comedy and fantasy. She made her international television debut in Season 3 of "The Wheel of Time" (Prime Video, 2021, 2023, 2025), appearing in a multi-episode role as Amico Nagoyin, marking her transition into the global screen industry. She first gained international recognition for her acclaimed performance as Fiela Komoetie in "Fiela se Kind/Fiela's Child" (2019). This earned her Best Actress nominations at the South African Film and Television Awards, Africa Movie Academy Awards, and the Silwerskerm Film Festival, and she won Best Actress at the South African Independent Film Festival. Her recent screen credits include "Die Kantoor" (Showmax) - the South African adaptation of "The Office" (NBC, 2004-12); "Unseen" (Netflix, 2023, 2025), "Recipes for Love and Murder" (Showmax/Acorn, 2022); "The Morning After" (Prime Video); "Spinners" (Showmax/Canal+); and "Die Nuusmakers" (kykNET). Feature film credits include "Lucky Fish" (2025) and "Finding Optel" (2025). She will next appear in the crime thriller "180" (2026) and the supernatural horror thriller "Hive" (2026). Her recurring television roles include "Suidooster" (kykNET), "Arendsvlei" (kykNET) and "Amaza" (SABC2). She also appears in "Blood & Water" (Netflix; 2020-24) and multiple South African television series including "Dinge van 'n Kind" (kykNET), "Die Sentrum" (SABC2), "Projek Dina" (kykNET) and "Sara se Geheim" (kykNET). Beyond acting, Kloppers is a director and screenwriter. She co-wrote and directed the award-winning short film "Riel" (2023), which premiered at the Durban International Film Festival, received an Africa Movie Academy Award nomination, and won at both the South African Independent Film Festival and the Pierre Cardin Short Film Festival. Her second short film, "Helmhart" (2023), premiered at the Silwerskerm Festival, where it was nominated for Best Screenplay. With a strong foundation in theater and classical performance, she has portrayed complex female leads in productions exploring identity, heritage, and belonging, including "Fiela se Kind," "Ghoema" (Spice Drum Beat), "Sarah - The Story of Saartjie Baartman" and "Die Swerfjare van Poppie Nongena." Her critically acclaimed play "Klarabelle gaan Kaap Toe" was the first Khoekhoe-themed play in Afrikaans. She works across South Africa and internationally.
