After accidentally damaging Babar's garden, Badou asks Zawadi to help him find a rare Jungle flower for his Papi. Badou initially finds flowers kind of boring but when he and Zawadi fall afoul of Sleek, Badou must use the natural defenses of various plants to help them escape. Then, Badou turns detective when Zawadi's rare book of Zebra history goes missing.

Lady Rataxes’s famed RhinoceRuby is stolen while she is visiting the Palace. Badou and Rhudi are each determined to find it first but their competitive natures keep allowing the real thief to escape detection. It is only when they merge their investigative skills that they are able to recover the gem. Then, Rhudi doesn't believe that Badou has a Lion for a friend.

Badou worries when Babar must recreate a fateful balloon flight through Windsong Canyon. With Chiku’s help, Badou comes up with a plan to help his Papi get past the most treacherous part of the thrilling journey. Then, Badou and Jake race to save Andi whose paw is trapped in some rocks. But Badou’s impatience and lack of preparation almost derail the rescue and the boys end up on the run from a curious Hyena named Hoot.
