When Indians attack some men, a member obtains an Indian medicine arrow. An Indian wants that arrow and refuse to tell Blade where he has found gold until he has that arrow.
Four members of a wagon train survive an Indian attack, in which True Eagle, a Sioux medicine man is killed and his sacred arrow stolen. Young Wolf, True Eagles's grandson, and "Keen" Blade, a white renegade, search for the arrow. Three of the four survivors have been murdered. Major Trent, the fourth survivor and possessor of the arrow, returns with his daughter, Barbara and Bobby Nelson, an orphan, to find the cave of gold the arrow reveals.
Believing Trent to possess the sacred arrow, the key to the cave of gold, the Indians, under the leadership of Young Wolf, attack the Trents and take Barbara prisoner, hoping to trade her for the sacred arrow. Kit Cardigan pursues them.
"Keen" Blade, part owner of the Blackpool Casino, and Young Wolf, an Indian brave, seek to recover the sacred medicine arrow believed by the white man to be the key to a cave of gold. Major Trent, an old Confederate army surgeon, now in possession of the sacred arrow, arrive in Blackpool with his daughter Barbara, and his grandson Bobby, escorted by Kit Cardigan, General Custer's chief scout.
"Keen" Blade, a white renegade, believing Major Trent has a sacred Indian medicine arrow on which are carved symbols describing a cave of gold, is holding Trent prisoner. Buckskin, a plains scout, and Bobby,the major's young grandson, follow Kit Cardigan, General Custer's chief scout, are trapped in an avalanche.
"Keen" Blade amd his white renegades hold Major Trent in Blackpool until he tells them where he has hidden the sacred Indian medicine arrow on which are carved symbols describing a cave of gold. Kit Cardigan, Custer's scout, escapte from the Indians and rescues Barbara.
