A clever child from a loving middle-class home, William Cornick was the most unlikely perpetrator of a crime that would shake Britain, it was the first time a teacher had been murdered inside a classroom in April 2014.

Living with street drinkers, 15 year old Lorraine Thorpe came from a broken home, under the spell of violent 42 year old drinker, Paul Clarke. In 2009, Rosalyn Hunt was tortured and murdered by Clarke and Thorpe after she had kicked his dog.

James Fairweather (15) had terrorised a local community by carrying out horrific random deadly attacks on James Attfield (March 2014) and Nahid Almanea (June 2014).

Lincolnshire teen sweethearts Kim Edwards (14) and Lucas Markham (15) were convicted of the murder of Kim’s mother, Elizabeth (49) and younger sister, Katie (13) in April 2016.

Rebecca Aylward and Joshua Davies, from South Wales, had had an on/off relationship. In 2010 Rebecca's body was found in a quarry. In 2011, Joshua was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment but maintained his innocence, until 2018 when he confessed in prison.

On 30th September 2013, Sean McHugh (19) an apprentice Bricklayer had been in the laundrette on Priory Road doing his washing. From Walton originally, although not a gang member, he had naively moved into a flat in the rival gang’s territory.
