After spending a week in a wellness center, refusing all help from doctors and psychologists, Valerie feels like she's ready to re-take control of her life.

Following her arrest, and her complaints against him, Valerie has an appointment with officer Phaneuf.

Without work to occupy her time during the week, and some unsuccessful attempts to rekindle old friendships, Valerie seeks out some new friends to spend her time with.

Valerie has to sell her house, so she has an open house, where she is surprised to see Officer Simon Phaneuf.
