Jacob's Cross English Version

Jacob is appointed CEO of a company. His friend Prospero encourages him to seize this opportunity. His mother advises him instead to stay away from the Aboyami family. Folacé, the daughter of Chief Abayomi, takes it upon himself to convince him. He decides to go to Lagos to meet Abayomi there.

Abayomi reveals to her daughter that Jacob is also her son. Assaulted by his son Bola, Abayomi decides to leave Lagos. Jacob goes to prison with his mother to welcome his brother Andile who is coming out. His family gives him a cold reception. His wife chases him away. He returns to live with his brother.

Lerato is pregnant. Jacob wanted to break up with her and sees his plan upset. Prospero does not like Abayomi's proposal. This creates the rivalry between him and Jacob. Thembi forgives Jacob for his collaboration with Abayomi. Jacob and Lerato get married.

Jacob faces the complaints of Lerato who no longer wants to live with Andile and those of his mother who no longer supports her stepdaughter. Bola arrives and seeks to find his father to kill him. Bola's men overcome the chief's security device and burst into his home.

Folaké discovers his father's corpse and his suspicions fall on Bola. He proclaims his innocence and persists in eliminating what could incriminate him. Bola wants to send their father's remains to Lagos. Chief Abayomi's last wishes are revealed.

Bola wants to rally the Council to his cause and threatens Jacob if he stays in Lagos. Folaké is devastated that her father was buried without her. Jacob's associates are nervous that Abayomi is dead. The court accepts Bola's request and cancels the will. Folaké discovers Prospero's duplicity.
