Sara Pascoe is travelling the globe, trying to find the crafts and skills that are in danger of vanishing forever. She starts her quest in the beautiful Caribbean, heading to Cuba to try out the unique jobs put at risk by the country's increased exposure to commercialism. She meets a mattress magician, a cigar factory reader, and a family who climb giant coconut trees to make a local sweet treat.

Writer and comedian Sara Pascoe heads to Georgia, a country on the borders of Russia and the Black Sea, which has drastically modernized in the last decade. As the country moves into the 21st century, it threatens to leave behind some unique jobs. Sara gets an insight into some very unusual professions, which include being a gunsmith, a polyphonic singer and a guide at the Stalin Museum.

Sara Pascoe travels across Finland, where she looks at the impact the changing climate is having on the future of the country’s traditional jobs. In the south, Sara meets a forest cleaner and a baker. In the north, where temperatures are increasing the most, Sara looks at Lapland’s tourism industry by learning some unique trades, including ice carving and being an elf in Santa’s village.

In Greece, she meets the last monk in a monastery, a family of traditional church bell makers and some villagers who communicate over massive distances by whistling to each other. But can Sara master this unique skill?

In Denmark, she learns how to build bricks effectively from a Lego master, makes a roof out of seaweed with a unique group of traditional thatchers and has a stab at tattooing strangers in Copenhagen.

As the world changes, some jobs are adapting or being lost forever. Comedian Sara Pascoe continues her adventure to seek out these endangered occupations. In the Middle Eastern nation of Jordan, Sara learns how to be a Dead Sea lifeguard, overnights in the desert with a family of Bedouin herders on the lookout for dangerous animals and learns how to construct traditional daggers.
