On her first day in high school, Himeno introduces herself to the class by lining up the mugs her late mother made; her classmate Mika knows her mothers works, so she takes her to the pottery club.
The club's first hands-on pottery experience in Tajimi is to make mugs; not used to the electric pottery wheel, the girls struggle, but in the end produce pieces sparkling with personality.
While Himeno is engrossed in pottery, Touko yells at Mika for loudly playing with Naoko; Mika then rushes out of the clubhouse, and Touko confesses that she admires Mika for having such a free-spirited imagination.
