Inger Johanne has been working as a profiler for the FBI but is now back in Sweden with her daughters, because she decided to prioritize her children above her work, when her oldest daughter Stina, diagnosed with autism, witnesses a brutal murder.

Inger Johanne is beginning to realize what her daughter has been through. Ingvar goes to Uppsala to investigate the murder of bishop Elisabeth Lindgren, which took place late at Christmas eve. Its obvious that the secrets dwells in Uppsala.
