After throwing out her cheating husband, psychotherapist Dani Santino (Callie Thorne) looks to make ends meet by signing on to help out-of-control pro football star TK King (Mehcad Brooks). And while she has her hands full with her narcissistic client, Dani must also stay one step ahead of two challenging teenagers at home.

As TK (Mehcad Brooks) balks when Matt (Marc Blucas) benches him with an injury, Dani (Callie Thorne) looks to uncover the real story behind a TV news anchor whose career is threatened by his inexplicable loss of composure on the air. Meanwhile, Lindsay (Hannah Marks) resorts to deception in order to date an older boy.

On top of trying to end a feud between TK (Mehcad Brooks) and a brash rookie receiver, Dani (Callie Thorne) must get NASCAR driver Billy Rhodes back on the track following an unnerving accident. Meanwhile, a looming custody battle puts Dani’s shaky home life in the spotlight.

As Randy Boozler’s problems with missing practice threaten to cost him his job, a sudden change in the pattern of bets being made on Hawks games leads Nico (Scott Cohen) to suspect Dani’s (Callie Thorne) mom of leaking inside information about her patients. And when TK (Mehcad Brooks) gets him and his underage friends into a nightclub, the evening backfires for Ray Jay (Patrick Johnson).

As Ray Jay (Patrick Johnson) and Lindsay’s (Hannah Marks) new business venture lands them in trouble with the team, a beautiful publicist (guest star Andrea Anders) hired to deal with TK’s latest legal problem threatens to undermine Dani (Callie Thorne). And when he can’t shake a persistent losing streak, professional gambler Jason Coogan (Joshua Bitton) seeks Dani’s help.

As Dani (Callie Thorne) treats a pro skateboarder with crippling nightmares, she and Laura (Andrea Anders) square off over how to handle a woman who is stalking TK (Mehcad Brooks). And as the case highlights her rivalry with Laura, Dani attends a high school reunion knowing that Ray (Craig Bierko) will be there, too.
