Power Rangers: Samurai

When Master Xandred, the evil leader of the Nighloks reawakens, Jayden, the Red Ranger, and his Mentor call upon four other teens to form a team of Samurai Rangers. Tied to their duty by ancestry, the teens; Kevin, Mike, Emily and Mia, join their leader Jayden to save the world from evil. Using their Samuraizers, they morph into Samurai Rangers to battle the Nighlok Tooya in both normal and Mega Mode. By piloting their giant Zords and working together as a team, they win their first battle.

The Teens continue their transition into their new lives as Samurai Rangers. Enhancing their inherited Symbol Powers and battle skills is difficult, and Emily feels pressured to practice on her own. She explains to the other Rangers that her older sister was originally meant to be the Yellow Ranger, but when she became ill Emily was called to take her place. Meanwhile, Master Xandred discovers he can cause the waters of the evil Sanzu river to rise with the tears of the ‘crybaby humans' and flood the earth, so he sends the Nighlok Scorpionic through a cosmic gap to our world to cause misery and mayhem. During the battle, Emily accidentally injures Jayden with a misplaced blow and is overwhelmed with guilt. As Jayden recovers to fight the Nighlok, Emily and the other Rangers are impressed and inspired. Together, they defeat the monster, and when the creature returns in MegaMonster form, the Rangers combine their Zords to form one giant Samurai Megazord. This first use of their combined Zords successfully defeats the Nighlok. Mia tells Emily her sister would be proud of her.

When Mike can't anticipate an attack like Kevin and Jayden can, he grows frustrated, and takes a break from training to meet up with old friends. When a long-armed Nighlok named Rofer attacks, Mike unsuccessfully attempts to fight him alone, and his pals are injured. Jayden and Mentor explain the hard truth that Samurai Rangers must stay away from family and friends in order to protect them from the dangers that are involved with being a Ranger. Inspired, Mike begins to take his role and training as a Samurai Ranger more seriously. With Jayden's help, Mike uses his training and creativity to anticipate Rofer's moves and defeats him. After the battle, he tells his fellow Rangers that he couldn't have done it alone. Jayden replies they can do anything as a team.

After the devious Nighlok Doubletone tricks a young boy into giving up on his dreams of playing professional baseball, the Rangers investigate. Kevin and Mia realize that they too have had to postpone their dreams for the greater good in order to become Rangers. The teens resolve to put their personal goals and emotions aside and rally against the Nighlok to prove that no one should ever give up on their dreams..

When the teens get a rare day off and decide to go to an amusement park, Jayden stays home in order to train and master the imposing Beetle Disc, which requires twice the symbol power of a regular Power Disc. Seeing how hard Jayden is pushing himself, Mentor extols the virtues of keeping a healthy balance between training and living. When a terribly strong Nighlok named Dreadhead attacks, Jayden finally rises to the occasion and masters the Beetle disc, upgrading his Fire Smasher to the 5 Disc Beetle Cannon to destroy Dreadhead's first incarnation. When the monster rises again in his giant form, Jayden and the Samurai Rangers combine the Samurai Megazord with the BeetleZord to form the Beetle Blaster Megazord and defeat him. Triumphant, Jayden realizes that keeping balance in life is important, and joins the teens at the amusement park for a well earned day off.

When the Nighlok Negatron appears and subjects civilian victims and the Rangers to insults that cause physical pain, only Emily remains unaffected. She explains to the other Rangers that she was taught by her older sister to ignore teasing as a child, so she was able to also ignore the monster's verbal barbs. Bolstered by Emily's inner strength, Mike confronts his own insecurities and together with the other Rangers they defeat Negatron using the Five Disc Beetle Cannon. After the Rangers destroy his giant incarnation with the Beetle Blaster Megazord, an exhausted Emily is elated to hear how much the other Rangers admire her inner strength.
