Scott and Bryan are lakeside in cottage country to kick off this thrilling renovation competition. Under their watchful eyes, four teams of seasoned builder-designer duos start the epic task of transforming four lakefront cabins into gorgeous vacation rentals. Whose signature style and skill will eclipse the other teams as they tackle the Primary Bed and Bath? HGTV Canada Designer Debra Salmoni joins Scott and Bryan to help pick the first winner.

There’s no time to relax at Renovation Resort, as the competition moves into the living room. A fun fishing trip inspires Scott and Bryan to surprise the teams with a task that pays tribute to the resort’s history. But whose style will reign supreme? Will luxury trump playful minimalism? Or is a more romantic vision going to steal the judges’ hearts? Travel expert Heather Greenwood Davis joins Scott and Bryan to pick their favourite space.

Creativity is put to the test in the third cabin challenge, as the teams head upstairs to turn the loft into a dual-purpose flex space. Savannah and Kyle create a family-friendly cosmic space while Rotem and Troy build a hidden room. The Bonus Build puts April’s craftiness to the test and Jena and Sean end up suspended. Scott, Bryan and HGTV Canada Designer Sarah Keenleyside pick the challenge winner.

In the fourth cabin challenge, Scott and Bryan serve up one of the most important rooms for a vacation rental: the kitchen! Savannah and Kyle get things cooking with a bold cabinet colour while Rotem and Troy have a crisis of confidence over storage space. Jena and Sean bring the outdoors in and April and Arnold keep things dark and moody. This time, chef Christine Tizzard spices things up, helping Scott and Bryan pick the challenge winner.

To wrap up the interior transformation, Scott and Bryan task the teams with transforming the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Kyle makes a costly measuring mistake and April is forced to tackle the power tools. Rotem and Troy create a fun bunk bed play space and Sean runs on empty as he struggles with the execution of an unusual feature wall. Travel writer, Natalie Preddie, helps Scott and Bryan pick the best from the rest.

With the interiors complete, Scott and Bryan get the teams to head outside to take on the exteriors. Rotem and Troy turn up the heat and Jena and Sean counter with another custom build. Savannah and Kyle encounter pergola problems and April and Arnold struggle with their budget constraints. HGTV Canada’s Carson Arthur and his furry sidekick join Scott and Bryan to sniff out the winner!
