Resilient Cities

"Resilient Cities" proves that cities can bounce back after experiencing some kind of disaster and thrive once again, with the show focusing on underground art communities. The five-part docuseries takes a look at the art scene in cities that have made it through such events as natural disasters, political unrest and economic meltdown. Each episode focuses on a specific locale -- including Beirut, Kiev and Athens -- to highlight local artists who create art as their way of helping to create change or display courage. Filmmakers, writers and musicians in the troubled cities are showcased, illustrating how things can flourish against all odds, even against the backdrop of an embattled area of the world.
