As the owners and caretakers of Vintage Pet Rescue, Marc and Kristen provide a senior living community for dogs to live out their golden years with comfort and dignity by opening their home to dogs which would otherwise be abandoned or euthanized.

Based on the premise that high-energy dogs are often passed over for adoption, Sandy believed that a well-exercised dog had a better chance of finding a home; Doggie Dash was born out of this idea and has become BFA's most popular program.

Over the years, Lisa Maasen found herself drawn to the difficult, unwanted dogs and her desire to create a rescue for the ones who needed extra help, extra patience and more time than most shelters can give, led to the development of Hard Knocks.
