Signed Stories in BSL: Classic Tales

This folktale is used around the world as a lesson in working together and helping others, especially when times are hard. In some traditions the stone is replaced with other inedible objects and it's also known as button soup or nail soup. Presented in British Sign Language (BSL).

Chicken Licken - often told in the USA as Chicken Little - is a simple folktale which teaches us to think before we act and not to believe everything we are told. Like many early years stories, it relies on rhythm, repetition and rhyme to create a narrative which children can easily anticipate.

This is a classic tale of brains over brawn! It shows that bullies never win.
