The ladies are put to work via a special guest mentor, Olympian Hazel Clark; the ladies learn the value of hard work.

After an informative boardroom session featuring Lorraine Smith, Shawnta tasks the ladies with finding items from their lives that only serve to hold them back.

Shawnta, still reeling from her mother's medical scare, has the women construct a boat; she informs them that the cardboard boat must be sea-worthy and support a person on the water.

After an important lesson about goods in the marketplace, Shawnta has the ladies relocate to a working farm to get their hands dirty with some physical labor.
