Swords Into Plowshares
In 941 AD, amidst the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the king of Wuyue passes away, throwing the kingdom into turmoil. Five years later, the late king's younger brother Qian Hong Chu (Bai Yu) takes up the mantle of leadership, forging a deep friendship with Zhao Kuang Yin (Zhu Ya Wen) and Guo Rong (Yu Hao Ming), who share Hong Chu's desires for national unity. While Hong Chu is initially free-spirited, he becomes a firm ruler, dedicated to stamping out tyrants and disloyal ministers. Along the way, he meets Sun Tai Zhen (Zhou Yu Tong), a young woman who supports him despite his difficult journey ahead. Will Hong Chu successfully unite the Chinese people, or is continued war and conflict inevitable? This drama was inspired by true events.
