During a call to a police officer's house, Andy and Ike make a misstep that fans the flames of the fire department's feud with the police department; the chief tries to keep a lid on the dispute, but his crew wages a tit-for-tat war with the police.

The crew is assigned its first-ever female firefighter, Lucy, sending the firehouse into a tailspin; when Chief cracks down on rookie hazing, the guys do it anyway only to find that Lucy is a force with which to be reckoned.
