Maryana and Alya are traveling to visit relatives in Pripyat when the explosion happens.

Pripyat is ordered to evacuate, but Alya stays behind to find her father.

Pasha leaves the hospital to see Alya, but he soon starts to feel unwell.

Pasha is placed in a Moscow hospital, Alya follows him there hoping her love will heal him.
