It's not an average day in 1958 for jewelry salesman Louis Valentini; he's offered the job of a lifetime, extending his route all the way to California; his girl isn't keen on him visiting women across the nation while leaving her behind.

After locating his sister Janice, Lou uncovers a secret that sends him on a mission to make things right; his girl Rosie has a decision to make: allow Lou to wander off or give him a reason to stay.

When Lou's Thunderbird breaks down, a car-savvy reverend causes him to reconsider his life choices; back at home, the Feds arrest Jan's boyfriend Darren and question him about Lou; why is Lou's past so important?

While Rosie hits the road to find Lou, his boss Donna informs him that she will join him on the road to spend quality time with her top salesman; two Feds are also in pursuit, and manage to link Rosie to Lou.

Lou and Donna step up into the biggest opportunity of their careers; things go from bad to worse when the deal goes south, and the Feds, Donna, Rosie, and Lou all collide; Lou may be in over his head.

It may take more than Lou's good looks to escape danger; with the Feds hot on his trail, Lou enlists Darren and Jan to help him locate Rosie; will Darren's elaborate heist allow the heroes to drive off into the sunset?
