White Sands

A year after the murder of German surfer Sebastian on Jutland's west coast, the case remains unsolved; Impatient with the Danish investigation, German authorities push for further action.

Helene and Thomas are living in a trailer, where the close confines cause friction; trying to get deeper into the local community, they meet the mayor, the local cop and his doctor wife, and the mayor's brother, the powerful Thorbjørn.

Life as a married couple is put to the test when Helene and Thomas are invited to dinner at Peter and Susanne's house.

Thomas and Helene move into a small house, where they hang their case notes on the garage wall-including about Ulrik's death, as the autopsy reveals he was murdered.

Things have gone off the rails: Thomas has returned to Germany, Helene is on her own in Hvide Sande, and Ellen is angry.

Helene is saved at the last moment by Thomas, who has returned from Germany; she's happy to see him and interested in his news about Sebastian working on a book about his deceased father's life.
