Raising young is no easy task, but out in the wild the threats to vulnerable youngsters are endless, it's up to the fearsome and tenacious mothers to find clever ways to make sure their babies survive to adulthood.

Surviving out in the wild is a tricky and dangerous affair; on their own these animals are seemingly insignificant, but when there are many of them they form one collective brain capable of incredible things.

Growing up in the wild is no easy feat, it takes fiercely protective parents and sometimes an entire squadron along with a pinch of luck to ensure these wild babies reach their full potential; from leopard cubs to wild dog pups and cape fur seals.
