Joan Staley

Actress Joan Staley was widely known for her presence on the silver screen. Staley's career began by acting in comedies like "Ocean's Eleven" (1960) starring Frank Sinatra. She had a part on the television special "Amos Burke: Who Killed Julie Greer?" (NBC, 1961-62). Staley worked in television around the start of her acting career with a role on "77 Sunset Strip" (WB, 1958-1997). Her film career continued throughout the sixties in productions like "Gun Fight" (1961), the Polly Bergen crime feature "Belle Sommers" (1962) and "Cape Fear" (1962). She also appeared in "A New Kind of Love" (1963). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Henry de Silva dramatic adaptation "Johnny Cool" (1963), the musical "Roustabout" (1964) with Elvis Presley and "Gunpoint" (1966). She also appeared in "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken" (1966). Staley more recently acted in the Peter Graves crime adaptation "Mission Impossible Vs. the Mob" (1969). Joan Staley died November 24, 2019 at the age of 79.
