Misel Maticevic

Berlin native Misel Maticevic first came to international attention as a leading man in the crime comedy "Lost Killers." The film, in which Maticevic played a perpetually unlucky hired killer, was shown at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. Following "Lost Killers," the actor worked extensively in German television, in both series and movies made for the medium, including roles in "The Airlift," a 2005 war romance set during the beginnings of the Cold War. He was also featured in the black comedy "Kebab Connection" in the same year. Then, in 2007, he appeared in a production outside of Germany for the first time, coming to the United States for the TNT period mini-series "The Company," in which he acted alongside the likes of Michael Keaton, Chris O'Donnell and Alfred Molina. Following his supporting role in the epic-length spy thriller, Maticevic returned to his native Germany to star in the 2008 religious drama "The Vow," as well as the 2009 film Effi Briest, a romantic drama set in the 1890s. He later switched gears, taking the lead in "In the Shadows," a 2010 thriller in which he played a tough convict known as Trojan, who is drawn back into the criminal fold immediately after he's released from jail.
