Yann Trégouët

An 18-year-old Yann Trégouët made his film debut in the widely acclaimed 1993 French drama "Three Colors: Blue," playing a young boy who tells a woman about her husband's car accident. His acting career grew rapidly from there: in the following year alone he appeared in four TV movies. He then returned to the big screen in 1997 for three more features, including the comedy "Le Déménagement" and the biopic "Artemisia" about the eponymous real-life painter. Showing off his acting versatility, he followed up those two disparate films with the historical drama "War in the Highlands" and the thrilling drama "Le Petit Voleur." Over the course of the next few years, he picked up increasingly more acting work, ranging from TV series like "Un Homme en Colére" to short films like "South" to TV movies like "Autrement"--not to mention full-length features such as "J'ai Besoin d'Air." Just as in his early career, Trégouët performed a variety of roles, from rebellious teenagers to wrongly convicted men. And as he grew more experienced, he won progressively more significant roles. As of 2011, he had appeared in 32 productions.
