Die Discounter is a German mockumentary by Pyjama Pictures, the production agency owned by Christian Ulmen and Carsten Kelber. It was developed, written, and directed by twin brothers Emil and Oskar Belton and Bruno Alexander and premiered on Amazon Prime on December 17th 2021. The series is based on the Dutch TV show Vakkenvullers. There are content similarities to the US sitcom Superstore, as well as formal similarities to mockumentaries like The Office and its German version Stromberg.
