Angel assigns Roger to track down a journalist gone mad, sending the negotiator on a treacherous descent into the city's abandoned tunnels, where fear suddenly and inexplicably overwhelms him.

Roger walks into a ghostly mystery when a wealthy woman hires him to find and return her son, who allegedly died in a protest one year prior; when apparitions of the son lead to multiple deaths, Roger calls in the Big O to fight his way to the truth.

Roger asks robot pianist Instro to give Dorothy piano lessons, but when a former partner of Instro's late creator abducts him for use in a megadeus with a sonic weapon, Roger and Dorothy must stop it without harming Instro.

Roger reluctantly teams up with Angel on a mission to uncover a monstrous threat lurking in the waters off Paradigm City that may guard fragments of the citizens' lost memories.
