The official launch of WaPo Berlin has barely begun when Police President Alexandra Falkenbach’s opening speech is interrupted by an emergency call. Chief Inspector Jasmin Sayed and her new team rush to Lake Wannsee, where a body has been discovered. Their first case begins before the celebration can even end.

A peaceful yacht club hidden among the trees faces a string of break-ins and acts of vandalism during the night. The frustrated boat owners, led by club chairman Ludwig Groß, decide they have had enough. They band together to organize a night watch, unaware of the danger their vigil will soon bring.

The glamorous life of influencer Sophie seems perfect online, but reality tells another story. While partying on a boat with friends, she posts pictures for her followers before suddenly vanishing. Her best friend Nina, her fiancé Lucas, and her brother Philipp alert the police. The next day Sophie’s body is found in the water, shattering the illusion of her digital world.

During repair work on the river wall near a paint factory, experienced industrial diver Rosi Neumann tragically dies underwater. Everything about the job seemed routine, with no sign of difficulty or strain. She leaves behind a husband unable to work and two young children, and the mysterious circumstances raise troubling questions about her death.

The public order office requests help from WaPo Berlin to clear a homeless encampment along the Landwehr Canal. Officers Paula Sprenger and Wolf Malletzke reluctantly take on the task. When they arrive, Paula realizes that Ruth, a homeless woman she knows who usually sleeps there, has vanished without a trace.
