Georg Kästner has been waiting years for a liver transplant and finally arrives at the hospital for the procedure. During surgery, the new liver is rejected, and Georg is told he may not have much time left. Deeply disappointed, his only remaining wish is to see his daughter Xenia again. The doctors now work to make that reunion possible while managing his care.
