Jodi Carlisle

Voice and live-action actress Jodi Carlisle has appeared in animated series as well as popular sitcoms and dramas alike. Her first role was in the 1982 series "Pac-Man," which adapted the addictive arcade classic into a Saturday morning television staple. She subsequently appeared in episodes of 1990s animation mainstays "TaleSpin" and "Darkwing Duck." In 1998, Carlisle became the voice of her best known character, Marianne Thornberry, the matriarchal mother who plays opposite Tim Curry's Nigel Thornberry in Nickelodeon's hit series "The Wild Thornberrys." The show was successful enough to prompt a feature film adaptation, 2002's "The Wild Thornberrys Movie," in which Carlisle reprised her role. She also appeared in another feature Thornberrys movie, the cross-over with fellow Klasky Csupo show, "Rugrats," in "Rugrats Go Wild." Outside of voice work, Carlisle occasionally appears in live-action roles as well. She has guested on shows as diverse as "Night Court," "7th Heaven," "Judging Amy," and "Malcolm in the Middle." Carlisle has performed in both the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "CSI: Miami" crime dramas, while also putting in appearances in comedies like "That '70s Show" and "Ugly Betty." As Michelle Downing, Carlisle had a 2008 guest spot in the hit series "Desperate Housewives."
