Gary Anthony Sturgis

Gary Anthony Sturgis was an actor with a strong presence in film throughout his Hollywood career. Sturgis started off his acting career mostly in film roles, appearing in the Dennis Quaid romance "The Big Easy" (1987), the biopic "Blaze" (1989) with Paul Newman and the action picture "Virtuosity" (1995) with Denzel Washington. Throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, Sturgis continued to lend his voice to television shows like "Legends, Icons & Superstars of the 20th Century" (1998-99), "Batman Beyond" (WB, 1998-2002) and "Static Shock!" (WB, 2000-04). In addition to his voice work, he appeared on camera in the Kimberly Elise comedic adaptation "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" (2005). Sturgis focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the romance "Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girls" (2007) with Gabrielle Union, the Terrence Howard biopic drama "Pride" (2007) and "Dance Fu" (2011). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns" (TBS, 2008-2012). Sturgis most recently acted in "Ally & Obie" (2014).
